Brodhead & Albany
Kelch Aviation Museum:
From their "About Us" Website: Located on the peaceful countryside Brodhead airport, The Alfred & Lois Kelch Aviation Museum celebrates the Golden Age of Aviation - the science, the technology, and the stories that launched aviation into the modern age. In 2004, the entirety of Alfred & Lois Kelch’s vintage aircraft collection was placed into the Alfred & Lois Kelch Charitable Trust, along with funds to “…keep the hangars open”. In 2012, the trust board decided the doors should be open - and more. With the help of hundreds of donors and supporters, we’ve become a true museum.
This is an awesome place and a must see if you're in Brodhead. Check out their Facebook page too for events and other information!
Clarence Covered Bridge:
In 1984 a replica of the Clarence Covered Bridge, one of the last known covered bridges in use in Wisconsin, was built by the Brodhead Jaycees over Norwegian Creek on the Sugar River Bike Trail. The original bridge spanned the Sugar River south of town on what is now Highway 11. The replica is approximately 2 1/4 miles north of town on the Sugar River Bike Trail and 1/4 mile north of Golf Course Road.
